History of Maggi
Maggi was founded by Julius Maggi, the pioneer of industry food production in 1884 when he took over his father's mill in Switzerland. It had since been an international brand of seasonings, instant soups and noodles and has become a well known house brand across the world. Maggi was then acquired by Nestle in 1947 to form Nestle-Alimentana S.A.
